Uganda: four World Cup fans killed in brutal fight

A fight erupted in a refugee camp in Uganda during a World Cup soccer match and four people were killed, police said.

The fans were watching Brazil and Switzerland’s Group E game when they clashed at a camp for South Sudanese refugees in Uganda.

The trouble began at half time when a man, left the video hall, only to find when he came back that a Nuer man had occupied his seat.The man who took the seat refused to move, and the pair started brawling with others joining in.

Four football fans as young as 13 were killed in a bloody brawl that erupted as they watched a World Cup match on TV.

Authorities had decided to separate refugees from the two ethnic groups and keep them in different camps.

Uganda is host to an estimated 1.4 million refugees, including more than a million from South Sudan.
