Irina kills at least 65 people in Madagascar

The tropical storm Irina has killed at least 65 people in Madagascar. Weather authorities have announced that most of them were residents of the Ifanaduana district, which belongs to the southeast part of the island.
The national bureau of natural catastrophes declared on Monday that three people were also reported missing.
When the storm passed Madagascar last week early reports declared that only one person had been killed before it was continuing towards South Africa and Mozambique.
Irina is the second deadly storm in the recent weeks affecting the area. A month ago, tropical cyclone Giovanna caused the death of 35 people and more people were injured.
The cyclone season in Madagascar, from November to February, is the cause of death for dozens of people every year.
