Tsvangirai says Mugabe’s party violates law
By AfricaTimes on September 13, 2009
Zimbabwean Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai said on Sunday he would no longer tolerate what he called the persecution of his MDC party, underscoring tensions in the new unity government. Speaking at a rally to mark the 10th anniversary of the formation of his MDC party,
Tsvangirai said he would not stand by as President Robert Mugabe’s ZANU-PF “continues to violate the law, persecute our members of parliament, spread the language of hate, invades our productive farms…ignores our international treaties.”
